“DGP must apologize and pull the round first before we take part in the meeting in the future,” he added.
Secretary and AISPLB spokesman Maulana Yasoob Abbas said, “We will immediately meet Cm Yogi to find out who behind this document.

He also urged officers to communicate with religious leaders about spreading awareness about Covid and the need to observe Muharram in the room.
He also ordered the spread of a number of sufficient police personnel in sensitive areas.
After the uproar, ADG (law and order) Prashant Kumar said the ‘DOS and DOKS’ was issued on July 31 for officers in the field for Muharram.
“This is an internal command department based on events that have occurred before,” he added.
He said nothing was mentioned to any community or religion, only that ‘anti-social elements’ could try to disturb harmony so that they had to be closely monitored.
“As such orders are issued before each ‘festival’,” he added.
Meanwhile, in GB Nagar, the police and scholars were preparing for the annual meeting that occurred before a large scale event.

“Every decision will occur only after that.
Other clergy also appealed to the administration to cancel orders.” The decision up not to allow religious procession during Muharram came after the government banned Kanwar Yatra earlier last month because of a pandemic.
