Ulhasnagar: In another case the collapse of the slab in the city, 50 people were forced to empty their homes in an Ulhasnagar building before Diwali.
Fortunately, no one was disadvantaged in the incident, but 10 families were transferred from the Sherawali Building Kunj in the Khemani area on Wednesday night.
This is a second incident like that in a week in the city.
On October 23, one person died and two injured after the collapse of the slab in the Paras building in Ulhasnagar.
In learning about the incident on Wednesday, the local BJP Corporator Mahesh Sukhramani rushed to the place and reminded the city corporation.
UMC staff evacuated residents and building buildings.
A citizenship official said the building was in dangerous condition, and some notifications had been released before.
Of the 25 flats in the building, around 15 families have emptied their flats, but others continue to live there because of the lack of alternatives.
Sukhramani told Tii, “four months ago, when 12 people were killed in a partially collapsing incident in two buildings, the state government had convinced that within 15 days, they would resolve technical problems arising in rebuilding such dangerous buildings.
However, the state government does not do anything and people lose their homes.
