Kalyan: In the middle of Maharashtra Bandh, BJP Mla Kumar Ailani and his supporters in Ulhasnagar were seen encouraging traders to keep their stores open on Monday.
About 80% to 90% of stores in Ulhasnagar are open on Monday.
It’s just that, the shops located in Shahad Fatak and Shanti Nagar are still closed during bandh.
BJP Mla Kumar Ailani with supporters visiting market areas encourage shopkeepers not to support bandh in the state.
Ailani told Toi, “Ulhasnagar City is known for business and as long as the Covid-19 pandemic trader has suffered a lot and this is the only reason we oppose bandh”.
The largest Ulhasnagar trader association in the city (UTA) led by President Tok Omie Kalani also did not make coercion for shop owners to keep shops closed during the bandh.
