Kalyan: Two men who were allegedly involved in betting on the premiere cricket match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) were arrested by the Thane Ulhasnagar Crime Unit on Monday late at night.
Acting on Tip-Off, Mahesh Tarde, Senior Police Inspector Ulhasnagar Crime Unit led the trap and arrested Vishal Sawlani, 42 and Girish Jeshwani 41 of the PL area in Ulhasnagar while betting on the ongoing IPL match between Delhi Capitals (DC) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK) uses comments directly on the mobile application called ‘Mumbai Majha’.
Two cellphones, calculators, Rs 14,500 and one notebook confiscated from them.
The crime branch team during further investigation also found the role of Ravi Shetty aka ST and RAM aka RM who received bets in the ongoing IPL match.
The team is now looking for a duo.
