Kalyan: In another incident, Maharashtra State Personal Staff Electric Distribution Distribution Limited (MSEDCL) that went to disconnect the electrical connection through non-bill payment, attacked.
The latest incident occurred on Monday in the Ulhasnagar area when the private contract of the MSEDCL worker was severely beaten by Defaugter’s neighbors.
These are the fourth time the MSEDCL staff are beaten in the Mumbai Metropolitan region of Mumbai (MMR) while taking action against consumers for non-payment of electricity bills.
Previously, similar incidents had occurred in Ambernath, Dombivli, and Virar.
After the incident, Ulhasnagar police arrested the defendant and he produced before the Ulhasnagar court that had made him the custody of the police.
The defendant who was arrested was identified as Vinod Salve, a resident of Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar in Ulhasnagar.
A spokesman MSEDCL said, “Balkishna Cubal has not paid its electricity bill for 78 days.
Therefore, according to the Sunil Jadhav technician instructions, the Thorat contract worker cut off the supply of electricity and release the electricity meter.” The official further said, “When Thorat removed the meter, the cubal neighbor’s salve was present at the spot that was harassed by Thorat by asking him why he took the meter and hit his head hard.” Thorat who suffered a head injury in a hurry to the hospital and then his complaint, the local police ordered the salve and arrested him “.
