Ulhasnagar: The investigation has begun against a police officer accused of attacking four young men who exchanged the new year’s greetings on Saturday in Ulhasnagar.
The youth claimed that the Assistant Police Inspector Subhash Pansare was drunk and saw them, he first tried to hit his motorbike into it and then struggled them.
After the video attack became a viral on social media, Thane police ordered an investigation into Pansare.
“According to the findings of the investigation, the action will be taken against it,” said Zonal DCP Prashant Mohite.
Police sources said Pansare was on duty patrol and seeking citizens who violated the country’s prohibition on assembly of five or more in public spaces.
Around the clock, in Kaushal Nagar, he watched four young men greet each other on the road and allegedly attacked them.
A young man is believed to suffer a minor injury, and another cellphone is broken.
Rohan Bhalerao, one of the victims, accused: “We have gathered outside our home and hope for each other ‘New Year” when the officer tries to meet his motorcycle to the US.
Before we can say anything, he began to invite us.
” Other victims, Rohit Bhalerao claimed, “the officer looked drunk; he refused to listen to us.”
