Thane: In an effort to reduce the hassle for students and professionals who will travel abroad, Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation (UMC) has announced that beneficiaries can enter every center in the city to get their Covid-19 vaccine.
The Civic’s body states that students and professionals who work like it do not need to order their online slots to receive a second dose of covaxin or covishield.
In accordance with the center, those who have taken their first dose of the covishield vaccine, can take second jab after 28 days itself.
For the remaining beneficiaries, the 84-day loophole between two vaccine doses has been made mandatory by the Ministry of Health.
“All students traveling abroad for higher studies and people who will fly out of India for professional reasons can take second doses of covaxin or covishield after 28 days of the first dose without booking online.
They can walk in every center in Ulhasnagar.

Beneficiaries must bring their original aadhaar card, along with the receipt letter from each university or a valid visa or copy of the appointment order issued by the employer.
Covid-19 vaccination in Ulhasnagar was carried out from 10am to 5pm for a week, and the centers remained closed on all Sundays.
