Mangaluru: Uroos Festival at Ullal Hazrat Sayyid Muhammed Madani Dargah, the center of Muslim pilgrims who are famous for Karnataka, will be held from February 10.
Uroos is scheduled from December 23, 2021, but due to a surge in Covid-19 case, but, it was postponed.
Lakh worshipers from all parts of India, apart from caste and credo, are expected to visit Dargah and pay homage to Saint and fulfill the oath.
Uroo was previously held in 2015.
Dargah President Haji Abdul Rasheed said Uroos will be inaugurated by Sayyidul Ulama Jifri Muthukoya Thangal, and Valedictory will be attended by Sultanul Uma A Aboobacker Musliyar.
He said the famous religious leaders would provide religious discourse from February 10 to March 4.
As part of Uroos, the development work worth RS 1.5 Crore will be taken at the Dargah premise in Ullal.
Various programs, including blood donation camps, medical associations, all religious leaders meet, and food distribution will be held as part of Uroos.
Mass dining with 35,000 kg of ghee rice and curry meat will be held on the last day of the festival, he said.
“Because worshipers from various countries are expected to arrive, we postpone the program for two months.
Initially, Uroos is scheduled for 2020, but postponed due to a pandemic.
Scholars will provide religious discourse in Arabic, Urdu, Malayalam and Kannada during Uroos,” he added.
