ULHASNAGAR: The Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation has provided an ultimatum to inhabitants of 50 buildings which came up from 1994-1995 to successfully perform a structural audit in 15 days, failing which they’ll be shifted.
The decision was taken following two construction crashes — which of Sai Shakti on Friday night and Mohini Palace on May 15.
Overall, 12 people are murdered, seven to Friday and five at the previous crash.
Both buildings were built in 1994-1995, when poor grade of sand was employed for construction of buildings in the township.
