Yemen was embroiled in a civil war because 2014, once the Iranian-backed Houthis drifted up much of the north west and captured the capital, Sanaa, forcing the globally recognized authorities into exile.
Even a Saudi-led coalition entered the war the next year around the face of the authorities.
The warfare has killed over 1,30,000 individuals and spawned the world’s worst humanitarian catastrophe.
“nobody can be more disappointed than I am,” Griffiths said.

” He spoke Monday at a news conference in the Sanaa airport, even a day after a video interview with all the Houthis’ spiritual and military leader, Abdel-Malek al-Houthi, that had been at an undisclosed site.
Griffiths also held discussions with Yemeni and Saudi officials in Saudi Arabia and Oman, a part of his own attempts to reach a cease-fire, reopen the Sanaa airport, then guarantee an uninterrupted stream of commodities and gas via Hodeida vents, and also relaunch the governmental procedure.
“We’ve been negotiating that in detail.
.
.
Occasionally we make great progress, and we all believe that it is likely to operate, that we’ll find an arrangement.
And the war one or other party believes they’ll profit more in the battle,” he explained.
