Jaipur: Following the Resurrection of Southwest Monsun, many places in the Jaipur Division, Bharatpur, City and Ajmer received light to moderate shower on Sunday.
In some places, scattered rainfall increases in moisture levels.
The city receives 97.2mm rainfall, the highest in the state.
The place to receive rain on Sundays includes Jaipur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Karauli, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Alwar and Dausa.
People at Jaipur wake up in the middle of a drizzle converted to rainfall spread during the day.
Some places including Jhotwara, Khatipura, Vaishali Nagar, Murlipura and Harmada watched the rainfall scattered while many areas included the colony side by side with Jalan Ajmer, Adarsh Nagar, Taman Raja and Jawahar Nagar remained dry.
“Jaipur witnessed the rainfall scattered while many parts did not receive rainfall,” said an officer with Jaipur Met Office.
The city was followed by the city of Merta (naguar) with 96mm rain recorded, Kotkasim (Alwar) 95mm and Laapura (city) 84mm.
So far, the country’s rain deficit stands 6% with two districts, cities and places, receiving good rainfall.
“The ongoing conditions show that the southwest monsoon might continue until the first week of September.
It seems that one more heavy rainfall spells are left which tend to disappoint the city division, Udaipur and Jaipur,” said an officer with Jaipur Met Office.
