Noida: Underpass near Sector 71 – After missing a number of deadlines – will be ready in the next few days, Noida authorities officials said on Wednesday.
While stretching is said to be ready, as a final step, the authority has asked the contractor stated to work to paint the interior wall underpass.
Underpass, which will provide connectivity to those traveling between downtown and Parthala Chowk, has faced several obstacles.
The authority had begun working on a stretch in July 2019.
In October of the year, the authority blocked the Vikas Marg which connected Noida to Greater Noida and Vishwakarma Marg which connected the sector 61/71 to the 7x and Barola sector.
While the authorities succeeded in opening the sectors 61/71 and 7x sectors of the route in a year, underpasses have not been disposed of to the public.
After operational, underpass 780 meters long will provide unlimited access to commuter noida-greater noida.
Officials from the Authority Engineering Division said that all civil works had been completed.
“But the walls and roofs underpass must be tidied.
At present, the painter has been deployed to give a final touch before the underpass is discarded,” said an officer.
The workers must masculate more than 25 feet to do painting work.
“Painting the concrete range under the sector 61/71 to 7x the CarrieGeway sector changed more difficult than it appeared at first.
This area is 1,250 square meters, but only 150-200 square meters can be painted in a day.
It will take one more week to complete Work, “said an authority officer.
General manager Authority, PK Kaushik said that workers had been priced in the shift to complete work.
“This is a problem a few more days after the stretch will be inaugurated,” he said.
Officials insist that some of the opening of CarrieGeway will not be as effective as the workers used on the site for painting and finishing work will be at risk and the pace of work will drop.
