Undertrial Dies in Jhansi District Jail

Jhansi: A 46-year-old experiment under the trial, who languished in Jhansi’s district prison since the last year he died in early Tuesday morning on his way to Jhansi Medical College after he complained of discomfort.
The late Rahees Yadav aka Krishna Gopal, a former head of Bürawli Village, falling under the MOTH police station, has been in Jhansi Prison along with his two brothers since July 22, 2020 and faces trial in the case below section 147, 148, 336, 325, 504, 506 IPC and section 3/2/5 of SC / ST Act.
According to Senior Jail Supervisor Rang Bahadur Patel, Rahees complained about anxiety on Tuesday morning around 4:30 a.m.
after that he was taken to a prison hospital from where he was referred to the Jhansi medical College where he was declared dead.
“He has some stomach problems that survive because he used to take medication regularly.
The exact reason for his death can only be ascertained after the post-mortem examination report is accepted,” Patel said.
Meanwhile, family members from the deceased have demanded the right investigation in his death, suspecting it was unnatural.
