Kanpur: With the arrest of six people, the crime branch claimed to have damaged a cheat gang which used to deceive people who were unemployed to attract them to work in the Central Government Department.
The person arrested has been identified as ankur, Akshay, Pradeep Singh, Ashok, Dharmendra and Mehtab.
DCP Crime Salman Taj Patil said, “By the name of providing work in departments such as defense, train, CBI and the Secretariat, around 90 people cheated by Rs 3 Crore.
The fake government seal and offering letters has been restored from the Defendant Six was arrested on Tuesday.
“Chokeri Resident Priya Nishad has filed a complaint that Ankur Verma, a resident of Swaroop Nagar, has taken four Lakh Rupees on a guarantee to provide work to him the train in July 2020, said the police and added,” Identity Card and Joining Letter were also given to him.
” Ankur tells Priya that joining will end so Corona will end.
In complaints, Priya told it after Corona, when he went to join the train, the problem turned out to be fake.
“Furthermore, the FIR was registered at the Chake Police Station.
The problem then reached the crime branch.
It was found that the gang cheated people who were easily fooled in the name of providing Category C and D jobs.
They used to deceive every client for Rs 3-4 Lakh,” said police.
From the peon to the boss, the tariff has remained.
DCP said there were more than a dozen people in the gang.
“The crime branch now focuses on them,” he added.
