Mumbai: There is a large setback for the taxi driver Caali Peeli in Mumbai because the government continues with the rules of “two passengers” despite opening trains for the general public.
Taxis provide last miles connectivity to commuters that come down from the local train in the city of the island.
The Mumbai Taximen Union has registered protests and submitted a petition at the State Ministry of Transportation, demanding that the rules for drawn and taxis were allowed to transport four passengers.

Union taxi leader, L Quadros said that taxis played a key role on the feeder route outside several train stations that lead to the office center including Colaba, Nariman Point, Cuffe Parade and Kamala Mills.
“Those who drove a taxi Iconic Kaali Peeli from Mumbai had suffered a big loss with a tone of 70% income decline over the past few months,” he said.
