Nagpur: The problem for the leader of the Ashish Deshmukh Congress in the State Unit seems to increase, because the Maharashtra Pradesh (MPCC) Congress Committee issued a notification of the show, citing “anti-party activities” as the reason.
Deshmukh gave controversy last month during the poll with the local body, after his photo with the candidate Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) became a viral.
This incident which was clearly mentioned in the notification of the show, was signed by the Secretary with MPCC Devanand Pawar.
Talking to Toi, said Pawar, “We have given Deshmukh a week to respond, failed to be removed from the party.” Deshmukh did not respond to a call.
His media team said Deshmukh is currently in Delhi.
