University of Agriculture and Odisha Technology, Assistant Professor found depending on the quarter

Bhubaneswar: Assistant professor of the University of Agriculture and Odisha Technology (OUAT) was found depending on his residence on Thursday night.
He was identified as Basanti Jena, assistant professor in the department of animal reproduction, gynecology and midwifery, high school animal science and animal husbandry, OUAT.
He used to live in the quarter staff with his husband Debi Prasanna Das, assistant professor at the Veterinary pathology department.
They married in 2012 and had six-year-old sons.
The police source said Basanti returned from college around 5:30 a.m.
At night, the watershed took his son to take a walk.
When duo father-kid returned around 8:30 a.m., the door of their residence was locked from inside.
They kept knocking and when they did not get an answer, the watershed tried to enter by climbing the wall.
“I found his body hanging on the ceiling.
I called the ambulance and took him to the hospital where the doctor said he died,” he added.
DAS said his wife had turned number 100.
The family member who died allegations that the couple had a fight for alleged affected affair.
“I don’t have an extramarital affair,” said Das.
The police reached the place and began an investigation.
They also send the body to postmortem.
“If family members who die have complaints, they can provide information to investigative officers,” said DCP Uma Shankar Dash.
