Mumbai: NCP President and former Agriculture Minister Union Sharad Pawar on Thursday said the University of Agriculture was very important to strengthen the country’s economy.
He spoke in a function to virtually inaugurated the University of Agriculture and Dy Patil’s engineering located in Talsande in Kolhapur Maharashtra Regency.
“If agricultural growth and progress are proven, the economic situation will automatically improve.
Such universities are very important to lift and strengthen the core of Indian economic status.
New innovation and technological advancements in agriculture through this research will be massaged to help this sector will be massively.
“said the pawar.
Former Governor of Bihar, Tripura and West Bengal, Dr.
Dy Patil, led the event.
The university will start its operation from the academic year 2021-22.
President Dy Patil Group Dr.
Sanjay Patil said, “The university’s education will not focus only on theoretical knowledge, but also practical knowledge.
The curriculum has been decided after considering all aspects and future prospects.” While agriculture is one of the university specialties, there is the same emphasis on preparing students for career in architecture, management, engineering and other domains, the word liberation.
Minister of Maharashtra and Vice President Dy Patil Group Satej Patil said the university curriculum would provide a boost for agricultural research.
“Variations that the curriculum will offer will issue researchers in students.
Research work conducted at the University will prove to be a gift for farmers because many Maharashtra depends on agriculture.
