Thiruvananthapuram: Kilimanoor Police under the regency of rural police has registered a case and launched the probe after an unknown man was found dead on rubber plantations under suspicious conditions.
The police said that the human body, which was assumed about 45 years, was found by locals lying on plantations near Devi Thannimoodu Temple near Kilimanoor.
Some locals say that the deceased is a mental patient who often looks roaming in Thannimoodu and the nearest area very recently.
But no one knows his true identity or existence.
The police also said that the cause of death was also unknown.
Although the inspection procedure was carried out, the police could not find a sign of an injury to the deceased’s body.
They suspect that death can occur either for natural reasons such as disease or through poisoning.
The real reason can be found only after the post mortem examination, the police said.
The body has shifted to the corpse of Medical Medical Hospital Thiruvananthapuram.
Covid screening test and post mortem checks will be carried out on Sundays.
