Melbourne: Unmukt Chand on Tuesday became the first Cricketer of the Indian man to play in Big Bash League (BBL).
Chand achieved an achievement when he made his debut for Renegades Melbourne against Hobart Hurricanes here at the Docklands Stadium in Melbourne.
Chand, 28, called time in a play career in India last year.
He represents three IPL franchises – Delhi Daredevils, Indian Mumbai, and Rajasthan Royals – and have a domestic career covering more than a decade, including 67 first-class matches.
Chand exploded to the international stage as a teenager at the 2012 World Cup ICC U19 – played in Australia.
He was a match player because India won the final tournament, scored unbeaten 111 against the Australian team featuring a number of current stars, including people like Travis and Ashton Turner heads.
