Kanpur: After Aligarh and Mainpuri Zila Panchayats passes through a resolution that proposes to change the name of two districts, Unnao District Administration has sent a proposal to the state government to change the name Gram Panchayat ‘Miyaganj’ to ‘Magistrate District Ravindra Kumar told reporters on Thursday that he has been Receive proposals from Gram Panchayat about changing the name ‘Miyanganj’ as ‘Mayaganj’.
“This proposal has been forwarded to the Uttar Pradesh government for further action,” he added.

Before that, the area was known as Bhopatpur Village.
The proposal for changing the first name was raised in a letter by Bamba Lal onwakar, BJP MLA from the Safipur seat in Unnao, on July 31 and was passed by the local body.
DM said that he had sent a letter to the Head of Pancayati Pancayati Raj on August 24 which was looking for action by the government for changing names.
The Miyangangj population according to the 2011 census is 8,948.
In addition, the total household in 2011 was 1,575.
There are currently 370 houses here.
Similarly, the current Miyaganj population, has an area of 3.195 square kilometers, about 20,000.
It consists of 8,200 voters.

Similarly, the meeting of the Council of Panchayat District Board was held in Mainpuri on Monday where the proposal was conducted to change the name of the Mainpuri Regency.
The President of Panca Panchayat Archana Bhadauria has agreed to this proposal.
During the meeting, a proposal was made by members of Zila Panchayat Yogendra Pratap Singh to call Mainpuri as Maya Nagar.
