New Delhi: The Delhi High Court requested Twitter on Friday to remove unpleasant material relating to the Hindu goddess of its platform, observing that social media giant “must respect the general public sentiment” for doing business here.
Senior Advocate Sidharth Luthra, representing Twitter, said the court could mention it in the order and the company would obey his direction.
However, the bench, consisting of the Chairman of the Judge DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh, said it would not suggest Twitter about what to do.
“You delete it.
You have done it in the case of Rahul Gandhi too,” said the High Court bench, adding that Twitter did a good job and happy people with it.
It registered a problem to hear more on November 30.
