Lucknow: The First Directors’ Directors Conference (DGP) and General Inspector (IG) in Uttar Pradesh will be held at the Police Headquarters in Lucknow from November 19-21.
This conference is arranged every year by the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the main guest.
The minister of home Union Amit Shah and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval will also handle a three-day meeting.
About 80 officers from the rank of DGPS and IGS from the state and other forces will attend the conference.
Senior police officers said it was a proud moment for every police establishment to host this conference at the police HQ.
They said other countries have hosted this conference but not in their own offices, on the contrary held at other institutions, as in Pune held at the Institute of Science, Education and Research in Baner and in the center of Verdant for Police Research (CPR) in Pashan in 2019.
The main security issues such as left wing extremism, terrorism, cybercrime, ISIS, crimes against women, pandemics and challenges will be discussed at the time of meeting.
Each state DGP will provide presentations and some IGS committees have been formed to hold sessions on major topics.
The source said on the first day, Amit Shah would be a guest and would give a medal.
PM will attend a meeting on November 20 and 21 and give a award medal in addition to overcoming the conference.
According to the tentative schedule, PM will arrive at Lucknow on November 19 night or November 20 morning.
