Nagpur: A 18-year-old boy, with a weight of 112kg, has recovered from Covid after he was accepted into a private hospital in a critical condition.
The patient told the doctor that he was 18 years old on November 20 and so he could not take a vaccine.
He has traveled to Kolkata and became a symptom on him.
On December 1, he was treated at Orange City Hospital & Indian research with a complaint of fever and cough for a week and trouble breathing since the first day of the infection.
The oxygen saturation level (SPO2) also drops to 85%.
These symptoms, especially seen during the second wave in the lighter patients to critical, are now rarely seen among positive covid patients, especially those who are partially or fully vaccinated.
The Covid Youth report was found positive on December 2 morning.
“He used a non-invasive ventilator for six days.
Timely care helps him recover quickly.
He is from oxygen support for the past 24 hours and is likely to be dismissed on Monday.
He maintains a 98% O2 level without support,” said the chest doctor dried Muley who led the clinical team.
The patient’s CT severity score is 15/25 in addition to high D-dimer.
“Given the hypoxia and non-maintenance of oxygen levels with high concentration masks, it imposes non-invasive ventilator support.
Seeing its investigation and conditions, injection of remediesivir and Todilizumab is also given to him,” Dr Muley said.
In accordance with Dr.
Muley, the treatment of young people who are not vaccinated are challenges due to obesity, crazy blood parameters and severe chest infections at the time of entry.
“However, we managed to treat it successfully.
Recent evidence shows that obesity weakens the immune system and, therefore, makes the host vulnerable to infectious diseases.” Dr.
Milind Pande, Pathologist, Dr.
Nishikant Lokhande, Radiologist and Team They offer diagnostic support.
Dr.
Muley was assisted by the Clinical Assistant Dr.
Aves Hasan, Dr.
Kushal Narnawre, Dr.
Nilesh Pidhekar and DR AKASH Jaiswal.
Nurse Sangeeta Ahirwar, Sheetal Chandekar and Shilpa treated patients.
Dr Muley said obesity has emerged as a strong risk factor for severe diseases at the current pandemic.
Some independent studies have shown that obesity subjects with Covid-19 have a higher risk of severe illness, hospitalization and increased death probability.
