UOH, EFLU to eliminate hybrid classes as a receding case

Hyderabad: Central University in the city is ready to continue the physical class by eliminating a hybrid learning model and recall students to campus after a sharp decline in the case of Covid-19.
The University of Hyderabad (UOH) and English and foreign universities (EFLU) have decided to contact the last year’s students to campus for in-class classes, first move after the third wave struck Telangana.
The Covid Task Force UOH held a recent meeting to discuss the return of students on campus.
The task force decides that the University will begin teaching for the terminal semester students starting February 15 and for the remaining March 15.
Students must submit a required RT-PCR negative report and undergo three days of isolation after returning to campus.
“It will be mandatory for all students to return to campus with the date mentioned for their offline class.
All heads of academic units to follow pre-covid academic rules and regulations, including the presence of compulsory students of 75%,” read the meeting report.
The task force has provided an academic head unit, the freedom to decide whether some courses or classes must be offered online depending on the logistics and availability of rooms.
But most classes are set to continue the campus.
In the first phase at EFLU, the university was arranged to remember fourth semester students from MA and BED (UK) from February 21.
In the second phase, the university will be reopened for the second semester of the MA and Bed students from March 24.
“If every student chooses for an online class, he will declare a legitimate reason by email to the Dean, academics and obtained a written permission.
Universities are entitled to receive or reject requests,” read a round that was released by EFLU after the meeting.
