UOM VC is looking for more funds from UGC

Mysuru: University of Mysore (UOC) Vice-Chancellor G Hemantha Kumar recently met with the Chairman of the New Designed Grant University Commission (UGC) Jagadish Kumar and appealed to him to release the research grant.
“There is no research scheme that was announced now.
So, I asked him to announce a new scheme and release funds,” he revealed to Stoi.
Under the institution of the advantage scheme, UOM has not received funds from UGC.
“I asked him to release the earliest arrears,” he said.
No GrantVC development also received information that last year, the university did not receive development funds from the state government.
“We expect funds in this budget.
We face a financial crisis because of the Covid crisis,” he said.
