Adult Food Commissioner Anil Kumar Dubey said, a new milestone in the distribution of food granules to 81.59 lakh card holders surpassed the record one day earlier in September 2020, when 79.6 lakh ration card holders were distributed 1.68 lakh tons of grain.
“This time, the Nodal officer who was represented in all districts ensured that the distribution of 5kg food granules (3kg of wheat and 2kg rice) per unit on an accelerated backpack card.
The festive atmosphere also contributed slightly in creating a new record,” he said, when talking to TOI.
