Noida / Ghaziabad: The state government has started the second sero-surveillance survey in 15 districts, including Ghaziabad and Gautam Budh Nagar, to estimate the breadth of antibodies in the general population.
13 other districts, which are part of this study, including Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Moradabad, Meerut, Prasagraj, Barra, Banda, Agra, Kanpur Nagar, Maharajanj, Deoria and Azamgarh.
Previously, the government had conducted similar surveys in Ghaziabad, Ballia, Sambhal, Kushinagar and Sahjahanpur, but the results had not yet arrived.
For the current survey, the state government, officials said, giving a list of groups and individuals from who the sample was collected in each district.
This survey includes two sets of people – those who sign covid and those who don’t.
In total, 1,500 samples were collected in five different categories, including health workers and parents.
The direction of the State Health Department stated, “Samples will be collected from the individuals who have been previously decided.
Random active at the state level of the positive and negative individual database available.” Gautam Budh Nagar Public Health Expert, Dr.
Amit Kumar said that officials finished Sample collection on Wednesday and send 100 for research.
Previous SERO surveillance results in the district by the Indian Medical Research Council (ICMR) have revealed that antibodies present at 66.8% of participants, he added.
Ghaziabad District Supervision Officer, Dr.
RK Gupta, said that “this survey will also investigate how long after recovering from Covid infection and getting a vaccine, antibodies can attend people.
In Ghaziabad, the government identified 125 people for surveys, but 104 samples would be part of the section Survey.
“Officials informed that this survey would also investigate the effect of infection in public health.
“The ambit from this study is very broad, and will see the possibility of re-infection and a problem related to permanent health or while facing someone after contracts a virus infection,” Dr.
Gupta added.
Part of this study will help make arrangements to overcome community health problems related to Covid in the future.
