Agra: almost two hours after a sensational day robbery at Manappuram Gold Finance Company Company Company in the Kamla Nagar Agra area, two of the five robbers, who had looted almost 19 kg of gold ornaments worth Rs 9.5 Crore after making hostage staff on Saturdays, was shot dead in a meeting with the police.
The shootout lasted almost 17 kilometers from the crime.
According to the police, when they tried to arrest the attackers, they fired a shot on the police team.
Two of the five attackers were injured when the police returned the fire.
The injury – Manish Pandey and Nirdosh Kumar – immediately taken to the public health center in Khandari, from where they were referred to SN Medical College after their condition worsened.
They were then declared died by a medical doctor.
However, three of their partners – Narendra, Anshu and unknown – managed to escape from the place.
Speaking with Toi, ADG (Zona Agra) Rajeev Krishna said that gold worth Rs 5 Crore had recovered from the attackers.
While two of them were killed, others managed to escape.
“They will be arrested soon,” he said, adding that two states and cartridges made also recovered from them.
A pine has been registered in five people for Dakoitas based on complaints submitted by branch managers, police said.
CCTV recordings 41 seconds show five attackers out after looting the branch and crossing the road on foot.
The initial investigation revealed that the gang came from Firozabad, police said.
The police said the incident occurred on the first floor of the complex around 14:15, when five attackers carry bags entering the branch and looted the shop after beating staff members.
All operations by the suspects lasted for 25 minutes.
No customer was present in the office at the time of the incident, the police said.

Vijay Narwaria branch manager said that four staff members, including him, were present at the branch when the robbers were in.
