Lucknow: In what advancing political victory over its rivals, the four candidates supported by BJP received a walkover in the election of the Chairperson of Zila Panchayat (ZP) after the opposition supported candidate pulled their nomination on Tuesday.
The four districts where the opposition supports candidates taking back their nomination is Saharanpur, Bahraich, Pilibhit and Shahjahanpur.
With this a total of 21 candidates supported by the Safron Party have been elected as the ZP chairman, without being complete, in what marks the BJP’s main election victory in the run-up poll until next year.
17 other districts where candidates supported by BJP were selected first including: Chitrakoot, Agra, GB Nagar, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, Amroah, Moradabad, Lalitpur, Jhansi, Banda, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Want and Varanasi.
In Etawah, the party candidate and head supported by SP, Akhilesh Yadav, cousins, Anshul Yadav won not most popular because BJP did not put candidates.
The unprotal election of the 21 candidates supported by BJP emerged amid opposition accusations, especially the Samajwadi Party, accused the rigging ruling party and regulates the withdrawal of nominations by opposition supported political candidates.
There will be an election contest for the chair of the ZP Chair at the remaining 53 districts.
Polling and vote counting in these districts will be held on July 3 between 11am and 3pm, said Commissioner of the State Election, Manoj Kumar.
Direct contest between BJP candidates and opposition supported will be in 38 districts including Ayodhya and Mathura, Hindutva political nerve centers.
In Bahraich, SP supports Neha Ajiz interesting ways to make a nomination for Manju Singh BJP.
Things took an interesting twist in Shahjahanpur where the SP supported candidate, Singh walked to the Saffron camp, which allowed Mamta Yadav BJP to be elected without a padlock.
In Pilibhit, SP candidates for Swami Pravaktanand took back their nomination which allowed BJP – to support Baljeet Kaur win.
Pravaktanand, especially a candidate, supported by BJP, who won the Zila Panchayat environmental election.
He, however, walked into SP fold after BJP did not support him in the election of the ZP chairman.
On Tuesday, BJP managed to convince him and he pulled his nomination.
In Saharapur, the Chaudhary Ram Mange Supported by BJP got a walkover after Jaiver supported by BSP alias Johnny pulled his nomination letter.
The development came a day after Supremo Supremo Mayawati announced that his party would not support candidates in the election of the ZP chairman.
Used CM has mentioned fraud as the main reason to stay away from the election of the chairman of the local rural body.
