Agra: More than 13 years after the sensational murder of the three brothers in Barsana Mehrana Village in Mathura on Holi Day, a local court on Tuesday was sentenced to six.
While eight people have been charged with the murder of Triple of-Rajendra Singh, Raghuveer Singh and Dalchand Singh (all in their 20s), one of the defendants has died during the other trials released by the court.
District additional courts and judge sessions Sanjay Chaudhary said a life sentence to all and also imposed a fine of RS 50,000 on them.
On March 22, 2008, three brothers were shot dead by their neighbors after they filed objections to playing holi with the women of their household.

The younger brother of the trio was killed, Niranjan Singh, has submitted a complaint at Barsana and FIR police station registered in the relevant IPC section.
Speaking with Toi, the additional district government (criminal) Council Mukesh Babu Goswami said that two Satish Singh (45), Chandan Singh (47) and their father Teekaram Singh (72) together with their relatives of Pratap Singh (40) and his property Satyabhan Singh (43) and Sukhdev have been convicted while Rajkumari was released by the court today.
He added that Satish Vijendra Singh (47) brother had died during the trial while the court issued an arrest warrant for Sukhdev, who was not present in court.
