Lucknow: Expeling the Besarjan Samaj Party (BSP) heavyweight Lalji Verma and Ram Achal Rajbhar called for the Head of the Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav on Friday.
The meeting was followed by reports that both would officially join SP, ending speculation that they could float separate political entities and entered the Alliance with SP for 2022 polls A Mega rally where Akhilesh will be the main guest.
Rally is likely to be held in Ambedkarnagar – Fortresses of two leaders – in early October.
While Verma is MLA five times from Katehari Seat, Rajbhar happens to be MLA from the Akbarpur seat – both in the Ambedkar Nagar district.
However, Akhilesh Yadav tweeted the photo meeting which he described as a “courtesy call” by the two leaders.
After being seen as a belief near the Head of BSP Mayawati, Lalji Verma was the leader of the Legislative Party when he was expelled in June this year along with Ram Achal Rajbhar.
The latter has become the President of the State, Secretary General of the National BSP together and a minister in the Mayawati Cabinet.
Both are known for their strong over OBC in their territory.
If the source in SP must be trusted, some more important names related to BSP may join SP along with Verma and Rajbhar.

At least seven BSP MLAS issued have met Akhilesh in two weeks with the expulsion of Lalji Verma and Ram Achal Rajbhar on June 3 this year.
