Prasagraj: The High Court of Allahabad on Monday decided that it would employ a hybrid system of hearing cases where the lawyer would have an option to perform well through video conferencing or physically.
Previously, the High Court which functions physically, has decided on January 2 that will hear cases through virtual mode only from January 3, both in Allahabad and Lucknow, given the increase in Covid-19 cases in Uttar Pradesh.
However, on Monday the High Court decided to shift from virtual mode completely to hybrid mode after the lawyer protested the court’s decision to become fully virtual.
On Monday, in additional modalities and settings released by the Registrar General of the Allahabad High Court, Ashish Garg, has been clarified that only new cases will be listed to hear in court, it is also, in a limited amount.
“Subject to the main justice sequence, old and infructual things can be registered with advance notifications in the list of causes (cases), if possible,” Add notification.
In addition, the guarantee / appeal application accused of detention and Habeas Corpus petition will be registered as usual.
“All cases where the date is repaired must be included at a certain date,” added the General Registrar.
Limited number of advocates must be allowed to enter in the courtroom and remain advocate, whose cases are registered, must wait their turn outside the courtroom.
However, they will follow the Covid protocol.
However, the General Registrar suggests advice to join through virtual mode to reduce in a hurry in court.
“Lawyers whose cases are registered will be allowed to enter on the court campus via e-pass.
Only the supporters are allowed to enter on the court campus whose case remains on a certain date.
