LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh anti-terrorist group (ATS) on Sunday arrested six individuals for conducting an illegal weapon production unit at Pratapgarh.
The accused men had been identified as Shayal Alam aka Chhotu,” Mohammed Sarfaraz Alam along with Mohammed Azad (from Munger in Bihar), Tirupati Nath Verma aka Guddu Gandhi of Gorakhpur, Swaline Ansari aka Bablu and Akhlin Ansari, either by Pratapgarh.
IG, ATS, GK Goswamy stated that they had been also tipped off about a group engaged with production and sale of prohibited weapons.
“A group worked tirelessly on the data and discovered that the gang was able to employ gunsmiths out of Munger (Bihar) to fabricate weapons from the mill.
