UP: Banda Village Head tells the ‘Jeevan’ Revolution during interaction with PM Narendra Modi

Kanpur: Two years after the launch of ‘Jeevan Mission’ to provide pipe water to households even in distant villages, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacts with Umaree Village Pradhan in Bundelkhand Regency through video conferencing on Saturday.
Village Chief Girjekant Tiwari tells how Jeevan Mission has revolutionized their lives with clean water flowing from the faucet and women who are free from dangerous trips through dried hinterland to take water.
Tiwari also told the prime minister that every home in Umaree had a toilet and village free of defecation.
Praising the villagers of Bundelkhand for their dedication, said PM, women have been empowered and got them with dignity through a scheme like PM Watch out, Ujjwala and Jal Jeevan Mission.
In a seven-minute conversation, he recorded development projects in the district even as villagers gathered in front of the giant LED screen to hear the prime minister.
Banda MP R K Singh Patel, Local Mla Chandrapal Kushwaha, District Panchayat President Sunil Kumar Patel, Divisional Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Singh, director of Jeevan Mission Akhand Pratap Singh, District Hakétrate Anurag Patel attended.
