Ballia: BJP leader here has been ordered for allegedly raping and threatening a 26-year-old woman, police said on Saturday.
Officer Bairia Circle Ashok Kumar Mishra said they ordered the BJP class BJP class BJP Wing General Secretary Ranjit Maurya on a female complaint on Friday night.
According to the woman, the incident occurred around 10pm on Thursday night when the defendant entered his house force.
Wing District President Lal Bahadur confirmed that Maurya was the General Secretary of the cell.
The woman told reporters that Maurya offered to make the Vice President BJP Wing and use obscene words with him.
Meanwhile, BJP MLA Surendra Singh demanded Maurya’s direct arrest and the alleged police initially “hesitated” in the FIR Inn.
“FIR was registered when I intervened after the victim and his mother met me,” said Mla, as he added that he had told the senior party leaders about it.
MLA said he would struggle to ensure justice for victims.
