Lucknow: In the midst of sporadic violence during the submission of nominations for the election of the block chairman, BJP on Thursday claimed Walkover at 292 out of 825 seats.
Friday was the last day of the withdrawal of nominations when the State Election Commission will announce the names of selected candidates without padlocks.
Polls will be held on Saturday.
In a statement, BJP claims the opposition cannot find candidates or repellents in many seats.
Although it was not held on a party symbol, block the chairman of the poll like Zila Panchayat polling poll triggered madness with BJP and SP Crossing Swords in the middle of BSP walking out of the contest.
‘Direct contest between candidates supported by BJP, sp’congress too much remains away from the contest in a number of seats.
“There are adequate signs of BJP will sweep the election of the block chairman too,” said the party in a statement.
Candidates supported by BJP will now face a direct contest with SP on Saturday, in what can then arouse the slugfest between the ruling parties and the main opposition.
BJP has made a victory from a party-backed candidate in 66 of the 75 seats chairman Zila Panchayat to increase its rural presence which determines the election prospect of any political party.
“People have chosen to go with a public welfare policy from the Yogi Aditentalath government,” said a party spokesman.
