Agra: Six men gathered to meet their friends in Gangpur Village in KasGanj – they were all Dalits who had entered Christianity.
A day later, on Monday, they were all imprisoned for “riots and hurting religious sentiments” after turmeric clothes complained of its members were attacked by them when they tried to stop the “conversion” in the village.
The police then did not find evidence that they were preachers.
Shrinivas, Kuldeep, Rahul Kumar, Shiv Kumar, Durgesh and Kiswan visited the rampal – along 30 and 50 years and from KasGanj District – on Sunday afternoon.
“I was informed that some people tried to change the Hindu family to Christianity in Gangpur village,” complaints by Hindu Jagran Mancer Arvind Kumar Gupta, on the basis of the FIR was submitted, said.
“When I got there, I found seven men who distributed money and religious literature among the villagers.” Gupta wants them to be charged under the Profit of Uttar Pradesh from the religious conversion ordinance that violates the law, 2020, which prohibits “forced” conversion.
But the police rejected the theory of conversion.
“They don’t preach.
They only have food at a friend’s house,” said a police officer with anonymous requirements.
Kasanj DSP Deep Kumar Pant, too, “For now, there is no evidence to show that male groups are involved in religious conversion.” However, six people were ordered for other fees registered in Gupta complaints – riots, attacks, intentional insults with the intention of triggering violations of peace, criminal intimidation, damage and intentional and evil actions to prevent religious feelings – at the Vaish Sikandarpur police station – in Police Station in KasGanj.
The last reason, the police said, is that “rude” content about Hindu gods found on one page in the diary found in the Van Six man came to Gangpur at.
Sho Jitendra Kumar said, “They can’t do it gave an explanation of content.” DSP pants said, “Six of them were arrested and sent to prison.
One of the defendants (Kishan) escaped.”
