Banda: The Mahatma Gandhi statue at Attara Township here was broken when a truck that quickly hit it early on Saturday, police said.
The police have brought truck drivers to detention in this relationship and seize vehicles.
The statue, located in Gandhi Chowk in cities, was broken when the truck driver lost control of the vehicle and hit him around 3am on Saturday, the additional supervisor of the police (ASP) Laxmi Niwas Mishra.
Atarra Police Station Sho Veer Pratap Singh Chauhan said further action was being taken after arresting the driver.
