Muzaffarnagar: Teacher Vijay Singh, 59 Now, has spent the last 25 years protesting against the seizure of more than a thousand public land marchers by former MLA demanding back.
Some in Muzaffarnagar claimed they had seen him sit outside the district judge’s office (DM) every day during this time in his search for justice.
With patience and determination, he has tried to make his own example for many students, even though he has lost his job as a teacher.
A RTI’s reply has now proven that the cause is true so far.
Singh began his protest when Shamli was part of the Muzaffarnagar district, which was why he protested in front of the Collectorate of the Regency.
In 2011, Shamli became a separate district and Singh was asked to protest in a different place.
He responded by continuing his sitting right in the middle of Muzaffarnagar, in Shiv Chowk.
“Shamli is a new Zila, with an office and new officer I don’t know.
I didn’t realize the system and also felt that my life was in danger there at that time, when I faced strong people who defended the fort in that region,” he said.
In April 2019 that Singh complained to the administration of Shamli during the Yogi Yogi minister’s rally in Kairana, after that the investigation was established.
He said he protested on the rally website, where DM Shamli, who was also present, came to him and asked him to describe the problems he faced.
Singh then gave him his complaint.
After submission, he said he ran from the pillar to send, ask the authorities about the results of the investigation.
“I submitted a query of the right to information (RTI) in October 2019, requested an investigation report.
I received a response to RTI’s request just a few days ago,” he said.
Reply, copies that have been accessed exclusively by TOI, and those who included the report, proved that he was right so far.
The report, which was completed in October 2019 itself, revealed that the former MLA along with several colleagues, had illegal ownership of government land in Chausana Village.
The 17-page report states that several government records belonging to this agricultural land were forged.
The source said that the report was sent to Lucknow long back, but there was no action taken by the authorities.
When asked, Shamli District Judge, Jasjeet Kaur, said, “It was a long problem and after that came to my notification, I instructed the OON sub-division judge to explore the details.” The action will be taken accordingly.
“Incidentally, Singh has become a quiet agitator, credited with the release of many violating soil soil, since he was 24 years old.
His cross war against the land of Mafia has made him a place in the Book of Records Limca for the longest protest against public land ownership Illegal by private actors.
In 2012, he was running 600 km to Lucknow for more than 19 days to meet the former First Minister Akhilesh Yadav to create awareness of land encroachment.
So far he can secure the release of 300 Bighas land in various regions in Shamli.
