Lucknow: Birthday Birth of Teacher Gobind Singh, Tenth Teacher Sikh, is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm on Sunday.
Gurdwaras across the city held a special ‘Langar’ (community party) in the middle of the Covid-19 safety protocol.
In Gurdwara aware, the image of ‘Shabad-Kirtan’ about life and sacrifice of the tenth Sikh Teacher was held.
Here, Covid vaccination camps are also held.
In the historic Gurdwara Yahiaj, where the respected teachers are believed to have stayed for 2 months and 13 days in 1672, complicated arrangements for ‘Kirtan’ and ‘road’ were held.
The celebration began with reading ‘Nitnem’ (Sikh Hymns), followed by a small award ceremony for the quiz winner and traditional dress competition held on Saturday.
In Gurdwara Naka Hindola, a grand ‘langar rental’ was held in the middle of the Covid protocol.
Rajendra Singh Bagga, President Lucknow Gurdwara Prabhandake (LGPC), remember Sikh Teacher, who is also the founder of Khalsa Panth.
Gobind teachers are respected because of their contribution in formalizing the religion of Sikh and the sacrifice of their families, said Bagga.
