Up, Haryana to share the cost of the e-way del-mum link to the airport

Greater Noida: Government Uttar Pradesh and Haryana have decided to evenly share the cost of building the Spur route to connect the airport site in Jiwar with Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.
Previously, arriving in the cost sharing formula proved difficult because most of the ring road fell under Haryana.
However, the top government has committed to distribute half of the total project costs.
This road is said to be important to increase connectivity in the Yamuna Expressway region.
In addition to serving leaflets from Haryana, direct connectivity through the Ekspres-Highway network will also fill the logistics business in the region.
“We have to think about the overall development of the Ghaziabad-Noida-Dadri industrial corridor investment area.
Having a direct link to the Delhi-Mumbai toll road will be very helpful in the long run,” said a senior officer from the Industrial Department.
Previously, the authority of the Yamuna Expressway Industry Development (Yeida) had given the assignment to check the feasibility of building routes to spur until the rite.
After analyzing the study report prepared by the Rite, Yeida officials discussed two options.
The first option is to link airport sites in Jiwar and Yamuna Expressway to Ballabhgarh in Faridabad.
The second is to give an intersection somewhere close to Delhi-Mumbai Expressway alignment and Western Peripheral Express.
The second option is proposed to meet a larger population, service providers and active business operators in Manesar, Sohna, Noah and Palwal in Haryana.
“Carry out the Spur route to Ballabhgarh it seems feasible.
The main part of the work will be done to the other side of the Yamuna River.
We have sent proposals about the project to the state government and are awaiting their decision,” said Chief Executive of Yeida Arun VIR Singh.
The source said that the Government of Uttar Pradesh has agreed to share half of the project costs and will reach a special destination vehicle of the Indian National Highway Authority which implemented the Delhi-Mumbai toll road project to take things ahead.
About 7.5 km from the total route Spur 31km will fall in Uttar Pradesh while the remaining 23.5km will come on the other side of Yamuna in Haryana.
A bridge will be built on the river and Yeida will obtain the land needed for the project.
Officials said preliminary discussions had occurred with NHAI and funds would be arranged in the next few weeks to start the tender process.
“We will ask SPV Nhai just to assign work.
The land and funds will be provided by the top and Haryana,” said an official authority.
