AGRA: Why did 87 individuals perish in the cities of Aligarh after swallowing poisonous alcohol? The district government on Tuesday declared that these most bereaved families will be given a compensation of Rs 5 lakh eachyear.
The deaths had started on Friday a week using 14 reported instances initially, but bodies began piling up in the district hospital nearly by the hour then, climbing steadily to 25, 36, 55 after which 87.
District magistrate CB Singh stated,”Compensation would be provided to the households of most of the supposed hooch departure victims whose viscera are maintained and delivered into the forensic science lab for evaluation.” Chief medical officer (CMO) BP Kalyani stated that post-mortem tests on 87 individuals are done up to now.
“consequences of 35 have come,” that the CMO advised TOI.
The CMO added that the other 29 people are in hospital undergoing therapy.
“Even though 17 are declared in Varuna Trauma hospital, 12 have been at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College,” he explained.

The government has now cancelled the registration of 16 spirits stores, stated sub-divisional magistrate (Koil) Ranjeet Singh.
