Meerut: A 65-year-old man died after being shot in the chest allegedly by his older son, who was afraid he would not inherit his father’s property.
Sukhram Singh’s body was found in the car on Saturday night on the outskirts of Meerut near Jalan Lala Mohammadpur.
The police said that his son, Rohit Singh, took him up before shooting him to death.
People who pass – by the police told the car, where the body lay, covered with blankets and pillows.
The police said that Sukhram was also hit on the head before being shot.
The forensic team collects the required samples of cars and the body sent for post-mortem checks on Sundays.
“Young Sukhram has died a few years ago.
Since then, he has lived with his wife Kusum, Putri Rita and Mohit’s son-in-law in the Kankarkhera City area.
His older son, Rohit used to think that his father would give all his property to his daughter,” said Sho of cancerkhera, tapeshwar pal.
According to the family of the deceased, “bad habits of Rohit and poor temperament” forced their parents to live with their daughters.
But on Saturday, Rohit went to meet his father after a long time.
Seeing changes in his behavior, his parents thought that Rohit had turned better, said a family member.
“Then he urged his father to accompany him to meet his other sister.
Sukhram agreed.
But it turned out to be his last trip,” said a police officer.
“A guardian of the murder was submitted against Rohit, who was also the father of two children.
The other relative, Devendra, has also been named in FIR.
Raids are being made to capture the two accusations that are running around,” Sho said.
