Budaun: Local BJP leader and his nephew was killed in a village in the Islamnagar area here after alleged disputes over land, police said on Friday.
Ex-Army Man Aryendra Singh aka Bablu (48) and Nephwer Gaurav alias Bhole died when they headed a place from their home on a motorcycle on Thursday night at Chichaita Alipur Village, police said.
Aryendra is the president of the BJP Sainik cell division.
Allegedly by family members who subhash, Nanhe, Ashish and several others hit their bikes and the duo fell from the vehicle.
Then, the attackers used sharp weapons and pressed the victim’s hands and feet before escaping from the place.
The two victims rushed to the hospital but they died on the way, police said, adding that their bodies had been sent for post-mortem.
Senior police supervisor Sankalp Sharma said firs in this case registered with seven people and two were arrested.
He said Aryendra had hostilities with his uncle on land disputes.
In the recent Panchayat poll in the state, Aryendra and his uncle lowered their respective candidates for the village head and victim candidates won the election.
