Bahraich: The local court in Bahraich-up has sentenced a man of up to 10 years and imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 to him for raping a girl aged 13 years ago.
FIR in this case was submitted on October 17, 2006, against Lav Kumar, aka Badkau, from Sarwantara Village under the police station Rupediha, advocate the additional government Girish Chandra Shukla said on Saturday.
The trial took place in the additional session judge court (Act Pocso) Nitin Pandey.
On Friday, the court said his verdict and sentenced Kumar to 10-year-strict imprisonment.
In the case he failed to pay a fine, prisoners had to undergo further prison for one year, advocate added.
