Mathura: A 43-year-old man desired in 16 criminal cases was arrested here after a short fire exchange, police said on Monday.
The defendant was identified as a mahabir, a sustainable bullet injury during the shootout, they said.
The police received a tip-off accused of planning to carry out crime and reach the place to arrest him.
However, there was a brief fire exchange and the defendant was injured at the foot, police said.
Allegations have been hospitalized, they said.
One pistol 315 bore country, two live and number of used cartridges, RS 5,000 cash along with stolen motorbikes recovering from ownership, they said.
During the interrogation, he claimed to be looting the golden chain of a woman on June 26 when he went to a temple, police said.
