Lucknow: The PGI police arrested the mastermind of a gang that honey trapped employees from housing vessels and the development board (UPHDB) in November.
The victim gave Rs 93,000 to criminals and finally submitted a complaint to the police in November.
The defendant who was arrested, Sharma’s goal aka Jnghnoo Sharma (26) was arrested by PGI police from the PGI-8 sector on Wednesday.
Police said that he was the mastermind of gang and planned all activities to trap the victim.
He has honey which traps many people before, but the firs is not registered in the cases.
Cantonment ACP, Archana Singh said that Goal escape since last month.
The police received a tip-off by the informant and arrested him under the allegations of extortion, criminal violations of trust, fraud and dishonesty and criminal intimidation.
A four-wheel was also confiscated from his ownership.
“We previously arrested four members of his gang,” Singh said.
The gang recorded the victim with a woman in the state compromise and then extorted it for Rs 4 Lakh, threatening to upload videos on social media and send it to family members.
