UP Minutes writes Correspondence to Union Ministry to approve Kanpur’s Ring Road project

Done/ALVI Times News Network Kanpur: Industry Union Satish Mahana has composed a letter to Union ministry for federal highways and road transportation Nitin Gadkari asking him to accept the Kanpur’s Ring Road project in the very earliest.
Lately, the property acquisition committee of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) gave its approval for the building of this 93-km lengthy Outer Ring Road project of Kanpur Nagar.
When the project is accepted by the Union transportation ministry, the state authorities will sanction the capital.
The business minister mentioned in the correspondence which after obtaining approval by the Union ministry for transportation, he’d convene a meeting with officials of those public works division, Kanpur Development Authority (KDA), Unnao-Shuklaganj Development Authority along with other divisions to talk about the matter and supply no objection certificate for construction of the ring road.
Even the Ring Road project may play a major part in solving the town’s street jam issue.
The business minister hoped the Union ministry could offer its endorsement to the job by following month.
“I’ll also talk about the matter with deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya in order that issues can be worked out in the property acquisition procedure can be initiated in time”, Mahana stated.
The 105-km extended Ring Road project premiered in 2012.
The district government ready its job report this past year.
After physical assessments of this road by the district officials, including the divisional commissioner, the amount of the job had been reduced to 13 kilometers to be able to curtail its price.
The Ring Road is going to be built on 560 hectare of property.
A amount of Rs 2609.
06 crore will be spent on property purchase and Rs 2573.
31 on street building.
Therefore, the complete price of the job is going to be Rs 5182.
3 crore.
According to sources, even once the amount of the proposed Ring Road project was 105 kilometers, its estimated price was 6,080 crore.
Efforts are made to finish it within the specified timeframe in order to conserve the additional price, the sources added.
Divisional commissioner Raj Shekhar will convene a digital assembly using Amit Ghosh, joint secretary, NHAL, division of road transportation and other divisions in this respect.
Sources disclosed that the property acquisition committee recently accepted the undertaking.
A comprehensive project report is expected in a few months to ensure notification for property acquisition can be issued from October or November, the sources mentioned.
