Lucknow: Team together from excise and the police department made a special enforcement encouragement ahead of the assembly selection, winning several thousand liters of illegal liquor from various parts of the country.
ACS (excise) Sanjay Bhoosreddy said that on Wednesday, 187 FIR was registered where 5,747 liters of illegal liquor were confiscated and around 40,780 kg of land, raw materials used for making liquor were destroyed.
Overall, 83 people were arrested and four vehicles were confiscated.
Case Commissioner Senthil C Pandiyan said the combined team of excise and police officials arrested a truck in Hathras carrying 75 liters of illegal spirit.
